Melanie Carroll, Regional Liaison (msnappa@syr.edu)
Welcome to the Central Region,
Welcome to the Central Region Project page. The project’s goals are to provide professional development for faculty and appropriate staff in education and arts and sciences so that they have the information and resources needed to respond to the many changes in the areas of teacher and school leader certification, teacher and principal performance evaluations, data-driven instruction, clinically-rich teacher and leader preparation, and the Common Core State Standards.
Syracuse University is the facilitating institution for the Central Region. Facilitating institutions coordinate regional communication and organization of the professional development activities, within the project’s framework proposed by cIcu and approved by NYSED.
Please visit this page often, as the Region will be continuously adding more regional events and information as the project unfolds. Make it your go-to spot for information and resources, your place to pose questions and get answers.
